Want a positive spin on the pandemic and the stay at home order?

Let us introduce you to Colton Edwards.

Colton is a bartender and manager at one of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma’s most popular restaurants and also happens to be a person with a story we thought you’d like to hear. I won’t give away the whole interview but when the shutdown began last year, he was in a new relationship and they were together in a one bedroom apartment for three months. Their bond lasted through that trying time and Colton says they are both better for it.

He learned a lot about himself during that time (including cooking) and now if looking forward to what the future holds for him and his boyfriend.

Here are some highlights from the interview. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention we had some tech issues with this episode so please cut us some slack.

02:50 – Colton’s interview begins

05:30 – What do you do for three months?

09:42 – He never cooked before

12:46 – The air fryer and neon green chicken

16:30 – Cooking is actually easy and exciting

22:09 – Colton completely enjoyed the shutdown

If you’re interested, here are the questions we’re asking everyone in some shape or form or other…

  • Did you ever feel excited about being able to stay home and cook more and explore foods you’d always wanted to but never had time for?
  • What did you make? Anything new?
  • Did you have anything amazing? Any disasters?
  • Something hard or unexpected?
  • When the virus is under control…will you continue to cook more? Have you found a new love for cooking at home or are you ready to get away from it?

We’re making it easier than ever for you to join the conversation.
